This Privacy Policy explains how HuntingLeaseUSA, LLC (“HuntingLeaseUSA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit https://huntingleaseusa.com, browse hunting-lease listings, become a member, or book a lease (together, the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.

Browsing public listings does not require an account. We only collect the additional information described below when you choose to create an account, become a member, or book a lease.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account or become a member, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, and mailing or hunting-region preferences. You may also provide profile details and communications you send us.

Payment information

Membership fees ($10/month or $100/year) and lease payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Stripe collects and stores your card or bank details directly; we do not store full payment-card numbers on our servers. We receive limited information such as the last four digits of your card, card brand, billing ZIP, and transaction status.

Background-check information

Because landowners are granting access to private property, hunters complete a background check before a booking is finalized. This screening is performed by our vendor, Checkr. To run it, you provide identifying information (such as full legal name, date of birth, and other details Checkr requires) directly to Checkr through its process. We receive the pass/consider result and status, not the underlying report contents except as needed to make eligibility decisions. Background screening is subject to Checkr’s privacy notice and applicable law, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) where it applies.

Usage and device information

As you use the Services we automatically collect log and device data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, search and filter activity, and approximate location derived from your IP. This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Services.

2. How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Services and your account.
• Process membership subscriptions and lease payments, and send receipts, renewal notices, and account statements.
• Verify eligibility and run background checks so landowners can trust who is on their land.
• Connect booked members with landowners and share the gated location and access details for a lease you have booked.
• Communicate with you about listings, bookings, support requests, and — where permitted — marketing you can opt out of.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

• Payments — Stripe. To process membership and lease transactions and prevent payment fraud.
• Background checks — Checkr. To verify hunter eligibility before a booking is confirmed.
• Email & CRM providers. To send transactional and service messages and manage support and communications.
• Landowners. When you book a lease, we share the details necessary to coordinate access (such as your name and contact information) with that property’s landowner.
• Legal & safety. When required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of our users, the public, or HuntingLeaseUSA.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Services, and understand how the site is used. We may use privacy-conscious analytics to measure traffic and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may limit certain features, such as staying logged in.

5. Your choices and rights

You can review and update your account information at any time, and unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages (we will still send essential service messages). Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. 6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then retain it as necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. Background-check results and payment records are retained for the periods our vendors and applicable laws require. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and reliance on vetted providers such as Stripe and Checkr for sensitive data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your account by keeping your login credentials confidential.

8. Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. Membership, bookings, and background checks require you to be at least 18 years old. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
